This was an in house competition for Blur employees to come up with a short film. This particular film was even nominated for an Oscar . It took 5 months in production with a team of 25. On the Blur website you may only view gallery images of the video and they have a link to
I Tunes where you may purchase the short clip for $1.99.

This film had great graphics and detail within in each piece. It had the real effects of dust and movement through out the video. To me the colors could have been a little more vibrant. At some points it was hard to distinguish between things. Which could have been because the background sun shine was so strong. The characters were great and I loved how real the frustration level was.

I picked this film because the characters looked well put together and looked like it would be a well craft production. I also assumed that this would be cute or funny to watch and I believed it would entertain me. This short film did exactly what I believed it would do for me. Made me laugh and smile and ask wow how did they do this and I bet it took a long time.

The filmmaker is try to portray that things in life are not free and even the best of plans can go terribly wrong. I think in this case the Gopher might have learned his lesson.

This film is about a very hungry and smart gopher who is plotting on how to steal food from the farmers. He is on a dirt road between crops of corn standing next to a tomato sign. He watches as the farmers drive by in their trucks loaded full of veggies. This is when he decides to burrow-holes around in the ground. By doing this he made a huge pothole for the trucks to hit. His intentions were to have the truck drop some of those delicious vegetables out of the back of the truck. His plan worked over and over again but the poor gopher was getting so frustrated because every-time the veggies fell out of the trucks another rodent, chickens, or crows came and stole it before he had a chance to get to them. He got so angry that he slammed and stomped and destroyed the tomato sign that he didn't notice the next truck coming. The truck swerved and and out fell a steer and landed right on the gopher. The end result is the tire was fixed and the steer was loaded back up with the gopher stuck to his butt and the steer was smacking him in the face with his tail.
